Creating a Charge Item or Charge Code

4. This is the page where you can see all your charge codes, you may search for it in the list to double check if its been created by a similar kind of name.

6. While you may enter the mandatory details of the Charge in this quick add, we strongly recommend clicking on the below option and adding with complete details at one go for better access across app.

7. Fill up Item/ Charge code Name, Group, HSN, Unit of measure and type of item it is amongst some of the mandatory details

8. Define if this is a sales or purchase or both kind of charge by checking beside the Sales/ Purchase item below.

9. Next you will need to assign an accounting ledger to the charge. I.e . against which accounting ledger would you like the charge to go. Click on add row.

Warning! Incase you are not from accounting team and creating a charge for the first time, we strongly recommend you consult them before you assign this to ensure there is no miss match in the ledgers.

11. Define what kind of logistics product do you want this charge to be associated with, for our sample we are selecting all.

Note: This is the point you can segregate unnecessary charges from showing up in LOBs that they are not associated with. For eg Air specific Charges may not need to be showing up in Road Invoices.

12. Under Item Tax section, define the Ta eligibility, Tax Template (i.e. % tax for levied for that charge for eligible cases).

13. Click on Save

14. As your charge is successfully saved, you will see the 'enabled' sign beside the charge name
